Meena's jacket
Meena donated a denim jacket her son had outgrown. It came back to her as a patchwork tote bag — something she uses every day at the market.
Our impact so far
Here's what Second Stitch has done since we started — and what we're still working on.
The global problem
What we've done
Nothing goes to waste.
From the ground
Meena donated a denim jacket her son had outgrown. It came back to her as a patchwork tote bag — something she uses every day at the market.
A local school collected 200 pieces of clothing in a single week. Sixty of them were redesigned and sold. The rest were donated to families in the neighbourhood.
Ravi joined Second Stitch as a part-time artisan six months ago. He now works full-time, earning more than he did in his previous job at a garment factory.
From the community
Donate your clothes, buy something remade, or just spread the word. Every action counts.
